The project ‘Ayton’s Story’ seeks to explain why the village looks the way it does today, and something about the people who used to live here.

In doing this, we have tried to involve as many local people as we can, whether they are taking an active part in the research or coming to our many presentations.

The project has an independent Audit Panel who review progress every six months. You can read our progress reports to the Audit Panel and their verdicts at Audit Reports
